Ice Fishing Tips Tricks
Decorating First bithday cake in fondont, not sure what to do; HELP PLEASE?
For my daughters first birthday in a few months I am planning on making her cake. I want to do this because I am making a more “healthful” alternative to the normal bakery or store bought cakes. I have a cream chesse and orange icing and a whole wheat pound cake planned. However I would like to cover it with fondant. This way it can look super cute and then if people choose they can remove the fondant and enjoy the cake with or without it, for a more or less heathfull alternative. I have and idea of what I will be designing, but I was just wondering how much of an undertaking is it to fondont a cake. It would only be two large sheet cakes, so nothing with multiple layers ect. I will also be making some decorationg on the cake out of it, but nothing to extravegant. The theme is “Under the Sea”, not the little mermaid, just like fish and sea life ect. I plan on a few practice runs, but how difficult is fondont to do, and also do you have any tips or tricks?
You will be fine. Fondant is not particularly difficult to work with it, it is just that it can get time consuming. But you have already planned for that with a few practice runs. You will be fine. And what a cute idea by the way. Have fun!
